FAQ

Acupuncture & Safety

Does acupuncture hurt?

Most patients feel a slight sensation like a pinprick that quickly fades into a heavy, warm, or tingling feeling. It is common to feel deeply relaxed or even fall asleep during your session.

Is acupuncture safe?

Yes, acupuncture is highly safe when performed by a licensed professional. We use single-use, sterile, surgical-grade stainless steel needles that are disposed of immediately after treatment.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of treatments varies depending on whether the condition is acute or chronic. Most patients notice results within 3-5 sessions, while complex autoimmune issues may require longer-term support.

What should I wear?

Loose, comfortable clothing is best. We typically need access to your limbs, from the knees down and elbows down, though we can easily work around most athletic or casual attire.
